These terms apply to all purchases made through birche.in. By placing an order with BIRCHE, you agree to the terms outlined below.

SHIPPING

SHIPPING COST

BIRCHE offers free standard shipping across India.

For larger or particularly heavy furniture pieces, an additional palletisation and handling fee may apply. Where applicable, this fee will be communicated separately before dispatch.

Shipping availability and arrangements for unusually large or heavy pieces may vary depending on the destination and nature of the order.

WHERE WE SHIP

BIRCHE currently ships within India only.

Orders are dispatched from our workshop and warehouse in India.

SHIPPING TIMEFRAMES

Shipping timeframes vary depending on whether an item is ready to ship or made to order.

Ready-to-ship items:
Orders are generally dispatched within 2–3 business days.

Made-to-order items:
Made-to-order pieces generally require 3–6 weeks for production before dispatch.

The above timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on production requirements, order volume, material availability, or other circumstances. The applicable production timeline will be communicated on the respective product page where relevant.

BIRCHE reserves the right to select the shipping method most appropriate for the size, weight, and nature of the order.

DELIVERY

Once an order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation. Tracking information will be provided once the order has been dispatched, where available.

Please ensure that your shipping address, contact information, and order details are accurate at the time of checkout. Once an order has been dispatched, changes to the delivery address or order contents may not be possible.

For larger furniture pieces, delivery may be made to the building entrance or designated delivery point depending on the shipping provider and destination. Additional handling or placement inside the premises is not included unless specifically arranged.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

BIRCHE does not accept returns or exchanges once an order has been delivered.

All purchases are considered final sale, including ready-to-ship, made-to-order, and custom pieces.

We do, however, stand behind the quality of our products. If an item arrives damaged or has a manufacturing defect, please refer to the Damaged Goods & Claims section below.

DAMAGED GOODS / CLAIMS

Please inspect your order carefully upon delivery.

If your item arrives damaged, please notify BIRCHE within 3 days of delivery. Claims submitted after this period may not be accepted.

Where required, customers may be asked to provide photographs or videos of the packaging, product, and damage to allow us to assess the claim.

If the damage is determined to have occurred during transit or is attributable to a manufacturing defect, BIRCHE may provide a replacement of the affected item or component, subject to availability and assessment.

Natural characteristics of timber are not considered damage. Variations in grain, colour, knots, texture, and other characteristics inherent to natural wood should be expected and contribute to the individuality of each piece.

WARRANTY

BIRCHE furniture is covered by a limited warranty against manufacturing defects, subject to the applicable warranty period and assessment.

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, improper installation, accidents, neglect, alterations, normal wear and tear, or failure to follow the recommended care and maintenance instructions.

Natural characteristics and movement of timber, including variations in grain, colour, knots, texture, and other inherent characteristics of natural wood, are not considered manufacturing defects.

DUTIES, TAXES & PAYMENT

TAXES

All applicable taxes are included or charged as displayed at checkout, as applicable under Indian law.

BIRCHE currently ships within India only.

PAYMENT

Orders must be paid in full at the time of purchase.

Production of made-to-order pieces will commence only after full payment has been received.

PRICES

All prices displayed on birche.in are subject to change without prior notice. The price applicable to an order is the price displayed at the time the order is placed.

BIRCHE reserves the right to correct pricing, product descriptions, availability, or other information displayed on the website in the event of an error.
